i take good classes
learning is such a privaledge. i love the invigorating feeling that overcomes your body when you understand the way this world works. i find biology fascinating (sp?). how amazing is it that a sloth, which is part of the kindom animalia, climbs on a tree that is in the kindom plantae and strange prokaryotes begin to grow on him that are of the domain bacteria. they are all connected. or what about ionic and covalent bonding or the over 100 elements that exist. its interesting to know these things. its interesting to know that carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur make up 98% of our bodies! And then comes writing. creative writing is such a mind-stretching course. the teacher just wants to punch her hand through our heads, gather up all of our creativity that is floating so aimlessly around and put it on paper. the passion and imagination that goes into writing is something that could not be put on paper. no one can ever take away your creativity, things you think about and no one knows them. at some point you realize that you want to put those things on paper. you want to see what they look like in writing rather than in your head. the one thing that is so liberating, when you live in a world full of conformists, is your power to create, to think, to have an opinion or an idea. then theres the foreign language. how much of a blast is it that i am learning a different language. i am acknowledging the fact that there are other cultures out there and i can somehow be a part of them, or at least not be ignorant to the fact that the U.S. isnt the only country in this world. so i've decided that im going to double major in biology and creative writing with a minor in french! talk about hard work. all im saying is that i love school. even though i dont have an exact idea of my career to come, at least i know i will enjoy learning along the way.
